Cincinnati Mix for Solo Trombone and Electronics (2022) | 3’30

Vicissitudes (2021) | 2’30

Inspirations for this work are Steve Reich's Violin Phase and Covid-19.

Reich converts pitch class to beat class as a methodology to explore metric and rhythmic relationships in phase-shifting compositions.

This piece will contain several vignettes reflecting on pandemic. Not unsentimentally, I’ve included a selection from Baudelaire's Fleurs du Mal (Le Guignon) as a reflection on fate and luck.

Palindromes (2020) | 10’30

I settled on the title of the first section,“Night Out”, as the sound space reminded me of urban settings. The space permitted me to explore patterns from the arrangement of motives.

The second section,Not Belonging”, emanated from a search for other urban sounds. Thus, the urban soundscape became a bookend for the project.

This was created using digital processing and animated synthesis in Max/MSP.

Broken Glass (2019) | 2’15

Broken Glass is a collage of found objects and voice. Techniques explored in Cubase are eventually brought forward and, in other pieces, are intermingled in Reaktor and other graphic modular software developed by Native instruments.
